THE FORTRESS STRAP

An original Haveston pattern design:
Based on the 1940 USAAF Spec. 24114 aircraft camouflage scheme used in the European Theatre of WWII. Features an enhanced strap layout and a heavy weave polyamide fabric base which holds form, while remaining flexible.
While we love the comfort that regular NATO and 'seatbelt' straps offer, we worked to combine this with a greater rugged tool watch character by observing the feel of classic canvas, leather and modern Cordura webbing. We eventually arrived at a weave which was comfortable, yet held its form while still flexible. This results in a great wrist profile.

Our redesigned strap layout means better comfort and enhanced aesthetics. By having a 7 o'clock buckle and an extended case mounting, a more ergonomic 'oval' profile is achieved.
In conjunction with our adjusted layout above, a sliding second keeper allows a folded tail to be securely stowed at the flat base of the wrist. The strap is then finished off with our signature hex tail and subtly marked polished buckle.
Perhaps the most well known color scheme in the European Theatre was USAAF Spec. 24114, a technical order which specified for Flat Olive Drab 613 for upper surfaces, and Flat Neutral Grey 603 for undersurfaces. In addition to the blue US Star Roundel, ANA614 Orange Yellow as well as other accent colors were used for Squadron, Group and Tail markings.
